Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, or oat)
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Add the wet ingredients – vegetable oil and vanilla extract – to the sugar mixture and whisk until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the vegan chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, underbake them slightly.
- Using a good quality cocoa powder will enhance the chocolate flavor.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- Line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
