Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch thick fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If using cornstarch, add it now and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and golden brown.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Use two sheets if necessary.
- Parboiling the fries for 5-7 minutes before baking will help them cook through and become extra fluffy.
- A light coating of cornstarch before baking will create a crispier exterior.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
