Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and black pepper.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken breasts.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is easily shredded with a fork.
- Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker before serving.
Notes
- For a stickier sauce, remove the chicken at the end of cooking and transfer the sauce to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Serve over rice, quinoa, or mashed potatoes.
- This recipe is great for meal prepping – it will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To prevent the chicken from drying out, add 1/2 cup of chicken broth to the slow cooker.
