Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound pork tenderloin, diced
- 1 cup long-grain rice, cooked and cooled
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced pork and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the cooked and cooled rice to the skillet and break it up with a spatula.
- Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, until the rice is heated through.
- Add the frozen peas and cook for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
- Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For best results, use day-old rice.
- To ensure even cooking, stir frequently while cooking.
- A wok is ideal for this recipe, but a large skillet works too.
- Adjust the amount of soy sauce to your taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
