Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine rolled oats, milk, and chia seeds.
- Stir well to ensure chia seeds are evenly distributed.
- Add vanilla extract.
- Top with mixed berries.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, stir and add maple syrup if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a creamier consistency, use full-fat milk or add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt.
- You can customize the flavors by adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
- If using frozen berries, they will thaw overnight and add to the flavor.
- Store leftover overnight oats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
