Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a looser meatloaf, add an extra 1/4 cup of milk.
- To prevent a dry meatloaf, cover the loaf pan with aluminum foil for the first 30 minutes of baking.
- Storing: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Tools: A loaf pan is essential. A meat thermometer ensures the meatloaf is cooked thoroughly.
