Ingredients
- 1 box (3 ounces) Lime Jell-O
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the Lime Jell-O in 1 cup of cold water.
- Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir until completely dissolved.
- Stir in 1 cup of cold milk, vegetable oil, and corn syrup.
- Add powdered sugar and stir until dissolved.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to achieve desired brain color (pink, gray, etc.).
- Pour mixture into a silicone brain mold (available at most craft stores).
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Gently remove from the mold.
Notes
- Use a silicone mold to easily remove the jello brains.
- For a smoother brain texture, whisk the ingredients vigorously.
- If the jello is too firm, add a tablespoon of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Store leftover jello brains in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
