- 4 ears of corn, husked and cleaned
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F)
- Mix softened butter with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cilantro in a small bowl
- Brush the butter mixture evenly over all sides of each corn ear
- Place corn directly on grill grates
- Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes to ensure even charring and cooking
- Corn is done when kernels are tender and have light char marks
- Remove from grill and let cool for 1-2 minutes before serving
- Apply additional butter mixture if desired
Notes
- Use aluminum foil to wrap corn if you prefer steaming over charring - wrap buttered corn and grill for 15-20 minutes
- Remove corn silk completely before grilling to prevent burning
- Soak corn in water for 30 minutes before grilling if using husks to prevent excessive charring
- Use long-handled tongs or grill gloves for safe handling
- Best served immediately while still warm
- Store leftover grilled corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
