Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dredge the shrimp in the seasoned flour, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Carefully place the shrimp in the hot skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Notes
- For extra crispy shrimp, you can add 1/4 cup of cornstarch to the flour mixture.
- Don't overcook the shrimp, as they will become tough.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing.
- Use tongs to gently flip the shrimp during cooking to avoid breaking them.
- For best results, use a cast iron skillet – it retains heat exceptionally well.
