Ingredients
- 1 cup dried falafel, thawed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium pita bread
- 1/2 cup hummus
- 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup pickled red onions (optional)
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
Instructions
- Prepare the falafel according to package instructions. Alternatively, you can pan-fry them until golden brown.
- Warm the pita bread slightly in the microwave or oven.
- Spread hummus evenly over the pita bread.
- Layer the falafel pieces on top of the hummus.
- Add the chopped cucumber, tomato, and shredded lettuce.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, and cumin.
- Drizzle the tahini dressing over the wrap.
- Add pickled red onions, if desired.
Notes
- For a crispier falafel, bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
- Use a warm pita bread to make it easier to roll.
- Store leftover falafel separately from the other ingredients to maintain crispness.
- You can add other vegetables like shredded carrots or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrients.
