Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- 4 slices Bacon
- 4 slices Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Chopped Onion
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Drain off any excess grease.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toast hamburger buns.
- Spread ketchup and mayonnaise on the bottom buns.
- Place a patty of ground beef on each bun.
- Top with a slice of cheddar cheese.
- Add 2 slices of bacon to each burger.
- Top with chopped onion.
- Place the top bun on each burger.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh ground beef.
- To avoid soggy buns, lightly toast the buns before assembling.
- If you like, add lettuce, tomato, or pickles to your burgers.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To keep the bacon crispy, cook it in a single layer in a cold skillet and heat gradually.
