Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, and rice vinegar.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add bell peppers and broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
- Pour sauce over beef and vegetables. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce has thickened.
- Stir in sesame oil.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
- For best results, use a wok to achieve high heat and quick cooking.
- To prevent sticking, make sure your pan is very hot before adding ingredients.
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- If you don't have rice vinegar, you can substitute with white vinegar (1 teaspoon).
