Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Flank Steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Large Onion, sliced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced
- 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 packet Fajita Seasoning (or 2 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper)
- 1/4 cup Beef Broth
- 1 tbsp Lime Juice
- Tortillas
- Toppings: Sour cream, salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned.
- Add sliced onion and bell peppers to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic and fajita seasoning. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in beef broth and lime juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Warm tortillas according to package instructions.
- Serve beef and vegetables in tortillas with desired toppings.
Notes
- For best results, slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet when cooking the beef to ensure proper browning.
- To prevent sticking, add a little extra broth to the pan if needed.
- Store leftover fajita ingredients separately to maintain freshness.
- For a smoky flavor, use a cast-iron skillet.
