- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Using your hands, gently mix the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Roll the turkey mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a smoother sauce, you can blend a portion of the marinara sauce with an immersion blender before adding it to the skillet.
- To bake, transfer the meatballs and sauce to a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30-40 minutes.
- These meatballs are delicious served over pasta, rice, or in hoagies.
