Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 ounces marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line an 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large saucepan, melt 10 ounces of marshmallows over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For extra-soft treats, use mini marshmallows.
- To prevent sticking, grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They are best enjoyed within 3-4 days.
- For colorful treats, add food coloring to the melted marshmallows.
- Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides and bottom of the pan while pressing the mixture into the pan to ensure even coverage.
