Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Pork Chops (1 inch thick)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Apple Cider
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
- Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in apple cider, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and let glaze simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Return pork chops to the skillet and coat with glaze.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use bone-in pork chops for extra flavor.
- To prevent sticking, make sure the skillet is hot before adding the pork chops.
- Resting the pork chops for 5-10 minutes after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender chop.
- Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
