Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Pork Chops (1 inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Apple Cider
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
  4. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in apple cider, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer.
  8. Reduce heat and let glaze simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  9. Return pork chops to the skillet and coat with glaze.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use bone-in pork chops for extra flavor.
  • To prevent sticking, make sure the skillet is hot before adding the pork chops.
  • Resting the pork chops for 5-10 minutes after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender chop.
  • Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
