Ingredients
- 1 (8-10 pound) Bone-in Ham
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Rinse the ham thoroughly and pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Place ham in a roasting pan.
- Pour the honey garlic glaze over the ham, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
- Roast for 2-3 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Check temperature with a meat thermometer.
- Remove foil during the last 30-60 minutes of roasting to allow the ham to brown.
- Let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a crispier skin, you can increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) for the last 30 minutes of roasting.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham is cooked to a safe internal temperature.
- To make a glaze, reduce the glaze ingredients by half for a thinner glaze.
- Store leftover ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
