- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup rice, cooked
- 1/2 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add onion and garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add bell pepper and broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until tender-crisp.
- Pour in oyster sauce and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
- Add cooked rice and stir-fry until rice is heated through and coated with sauce, about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier stir-fry, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Use a wok for best results, but a large skillet will also work.
- To store leftovers, cool completely before transferring to an airtight container and refrigerating for up to 3 days.
- Pre-cooking the rice ensures it maintains its texture during stir-frying.
