Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken Pieces (Bone-in, Skin-on)
- 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce (Your Favorite)
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (around 350°F / 175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to ensure the chicken is thoroughly coated.
- Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Close the lid and cook for 30-40 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is nicely charred.
- During the last 10 minutes of grilling, baste the chicken with any remaining BBQ sauce to create a sticky, flavorful coating.
Notes
- For best results, use a charcoal grill with wood chips (hickory or applewood) for a more authentic smoky flavor.
- If you don't have a grill, you can bake the chicken in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 45-60 minutes, or until cooked through.
- To prevent the chicken from drying out, you can wrap it in foil during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
