- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Apple Cider
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
- Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- In a small saucepan, combine apple cider, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and dried thyme.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Place pork chops back into the skillet.
- Pour apple cider glaze over the pork chops.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use bone-in pork chops for added flavor.
- To ensure even cooking, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
- Resting the pork chops allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop.
- Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.
- Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
