Ingredients
- 1 (8-10 pound) fully cooked ham, bone-in
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place ham in a large roasting pan.
- Spread half of the brown sugar glaze evenly over the ham.
- Cover the roasting pan tightly with a lid or aluminum foil. Bake for 2-3 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
- Uncover the ham and continue to bake for another 30-60 minutes, basting with the remaining glaze every 15-20 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- Let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- For a crispier glaze, you can broil the ham for the last 5-10 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- To keep the ham moist during baking, you can add 1/2 cup of chicken broth to the roasting pan.
- This ham is delicious sliced and served with scalloped potatoes or green beans.
- Store leftover ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
